Hi Job Candidate

Thanks for your application to Hellshire Property Services for one of the Landscape Gardener positions. You have been selected to be on our short list of candidates. Active recruitment will be done in March or April 2023 when the snow has melted. We’ll reach out to you to see if you’re still interested then.

The interview will be done on a lawn site in West Brampton. The most important criteria for selection will be:

  1. A good people and work attitude so we can determine if you are a good team player and can work smoothly with our customers on residential sites.
  2. Possess a ‘G’ driver’s license to drive vehicles with crew and equipment from site to site.

Technical skills, although very important, can be taught as you work and you should be able to grasp quickly with repetitive work, a keen work attitude and a willingness to learn.

The selection process is as listed.

  1. Videos of company employment guidelines, customer guidelines, and technical videos of mowing, edging and clean-up will be sent in advance.
  2. Arriving on time and a site interview
  3. Sample use of tools
  4. Sample driving of vehicle and parking at customer premises, loading & unloading tools & equipment, using tools checklist, using customer upsell checklist; placing sample obstruction poles, yard signs and door hangers.

 Any questions You will be paid for 4 hours of interview and training on-site if you arrive on or before the start time and participate effectively in training.

Landscape Gardener Crew Member

  1. Earn from $16/hr. to $30+/hr. based on meeting performance targets.
  2. A valid ‘G’ driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
  3. Culture: Customer satisfaction, Team player, good work attitude, diversity, respect, integrity, honesty
  4. Perform routine maintenance services on customer properties as per Hellshire Property Services standards including cutting grass, raking, general clean up, fertilizing, garden care (weeding, edging, cultivating), plant care (pruning, trimming shrubs & trees) according to site-specific details.
  5. Utilization and proficiency with lawn & property care equipment. Training available with the job
  6. Main work occurs during the Spring/Summer/Fall Seasons; with Occasional irregular hours due to the weather and/or unexpected circumstances.
  7. Start as a part-time associate and move quickly to full-time hours after probation.
  8. A minimum 1-year of experience in the landscape industry would be an asset.

We want to employ 2 + 2 persons to do Landscaper gardening (Labour) for mowing, yard clean up, trimming, fertilizing, and gardening). They must have a ‘G’ Driver’s license to drive our van. They work in a crew of 2 people… They can be trained on the job. Preference will be given to those who have mowed a lawn before even at their home. All crew members start as part-time (PT) workers on probation. In 1 month after probation, FT hours may be offered if employees meet requirements.
